U.S. EX-IM BANK TO OPEN REGIONAL OFFICE IN ZAGREB
Washington, May 9 - Ex-Im Bank, a U.S. agency that helps promote business abroad, will open a regional office in Zagreb in the near future, bank Vice President Jeffrey Miller said in Washington.
According to Vice President Miller, Croatian Office of Ex-Im Bank will be in charge of all Southeast European countries.
The representatives of Ex-Im Bank took part in the Business Conference on Southeast Europe in Washington. At the conference, Croatian Ambassador Dr Miomir Zuzul presented recent economic and political developments in Croatia and informed participants about new investment opportunities.
U.S. offices currently operating in Croatia include Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the United States Trade and Development Agency, and the United States Agency for International Development. With Ex-Im Bank opening an office in Zagreb, the Croatian capital will become the principal seat for U.S. economic institutions in the region.
