COUNCIL OF EUROPE IS APPEALING ON FIGHTING TERRORISM, CROATIA IS READY TO COOPERATE

The board of representative ministers of the Council of Europe appealed in Strasbourg on Friday on all member countries to cooperate with the appropriate international organizations in fighting terrorism, such as the European Convention on Beating Terrorism. Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Croatia confirmed its determination to participate in the fight against terrorism. The meeting reiterated the commitment of all member countries of the Council of Europe to a unified action against terrorism through enhancing the cooperation on bilateral and multilateral level. Permanent representative of the Republic of Croatia Neven Madley reiterated Croatia's determination to cooperate and its intention to become a member of the appropriate international organizations.

In accordance with the high political priorities that the Council of Europe assigned to this region, it has been decided that the issues of anti-terrorism are on the agenda of the Council's Board of Ministers conference on October 7th and 8th. The ratification of a detailed course of action in fighting terrorism will be expected then.
