CROATIAN AND U.S. SPECIAL FORCES EXERCISE

A joint tactical exercise, in which the Croatian 350^th Military-Intelligence Batallion and American 10^th Special Forces Group of U.S. EUCOM participated, was held in February 2002 at different locations in Croatia. One of those locations was Kalnik mountain where an alpinist part of the exercise was held.

The goal of the exercise was to standardize Croatian special forces training and operative procedures in accordance with the U.S. Army Special Forces principles, thus supporting Croatian efforts to both participate in international military operations and integrate its Army into NATO. Besides Familiarizing with equipment, arms and terminology, Croatian and American soldiers were also working in joint headquarters that provided opportunity for Croatians to standardize their tactical communication systems and procedures.
