Croatian President Stjepan Mesic Congratulates President George W. Bush on Reelection

Croatian President Stjepan Mesic congratulated U.S. President George W. Bush on the election victory in which he expressed hope that Croatia and the United States would continue to cooperate in the spirit of collaboration and understanding.

“I am convinced that we will continue developing bilateral relations in a friendly spirit. I am confident that democracy cannot be a wrong choice in any part of the world and Croatia will continue to strengthen these values among its citizens and toward its neighbors. On that path, understanding and partnership from the United States are extremely important and we wish that such a path be continued,” President Mesic said in his letter.

Croatia sees its future in a united and strong Europe and wants to see an undivided and strong America that will cooperate with the Old Continent because without cooperation and partnership it is impossible to solve regional and global challenges, said President Mesic.
