Janusz Bugajski of the CSIS speaks at the Croatian Embassy
reception
Washington, D.C., April 28, 2005 – The Croatian Embassy hosted a reception for a group of international relations graduate students from the University of Zagreb, who are on a week-long visit to New York and Washington.
During their stay the students had an opportunity to witness first-hand the work of Croatian diplomatic missions in New York and Washington, as well as a number of U.S. and world institutions, including the Department of State, U.S. Senate, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the World Bank and, in New York City, the United Nations.
Professor Radovan Vukadinović of the International Relations Department at University of Zagreb, who is accompanying the students on their U.S. visit, said: “This tour is opening [to the students] a view of the one and only superpower in the world, the United States.”
At the Croatian Embassy reception, Janusz Bugajski of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington gave a lecture on the role of think tanks and lobbyists in the process of U.S. policy formation and political life in general, an important aspect of American political life.
