Ambassador Grdesic visits Seattle for celebration of Croatia’s Independence Day

 

Seattle, Washington, October 13 – Croatian Ambassador to United States, Dr. Ivan Grdesic celebrated Croatia’s Independence Day with the Washington State and Seattle’s Croatian American Community and members of the Washington State Consular Association.

 

To mark Republic of Croatia’s Day of Independence, Croatia’s Honorary Consul for the state of Washington, Dr. Frank Brozovich hosted a Gala Dinner in Seattle where Ambassador Grdesic spoke in front of a capacity crowd.  In his speech Dr. Grdesic emphasized the importance of the upcoming fourth democratic elections about to be held in Republic of Croatia, which, as the Ambassador noted, will be a sign of stability of its democratic institutions regardless of whom wins the election. 

 

During his visit to Pacific Northwest, Dr. Grdesic also paid an official visit to Washington State Lt. Governor Brad Owen in Olympia to discuss opportunities in Croatia for Washington State businesses.  Ambassador Grdesic also spoke on Croatia’s Euro-Atlantic integration at the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies
