Croatian Prime Minister Sanader's Homeland Thanksgiving message

ZAGREB, Aug 3 - Prime Minister of Republic of Croatia dr. Ivo Sanader has sent a message on the occasion of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, August 5, which is a national holiday in Croatia.

"Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day is an occasion to remember the brilliant operations which the Croatian army and police carried out nine years ago to liberate central areas of the country," Sanader said in the message which he sent on August 3^rd evening with best wishes to all Croatian citizens.

This holiday is also occasion when "we proudly pay tribute to all Croatian soldiers thanking them for the Croatian freedom. Croatia, which is looking forward to the European future, does not forget its past and it obtains strength from it as a guarantee for future success," reads the message.
