Croatian pianist Gasparovic held a concert in Washington

April 8, 2004 - Famous Croatian pianist Ljubomir Gasparovic held a concert in
Washington, as part of a series of performances held by Croatian artists
presenting Croatia's national heritage.
For the Washington audience, Gaparovic played Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and pieces by Croatian composer Bozidar Kunc.
The concert that was held in the Austrian Embassy in Washington, was organized by the Croatian Embassy in Washington and the organization of American Croats called "Croatian House".
One of the most renowned Croatian pianists, Gasparovic graduated at Zagreb Music Academy, where he teaches today. He also studied in Paris with Aldo Ciccolini.
Croatian Ambassador to U.S. dr. Ivan Grdesic introduced the concert by saying it was another Croatian gift to Washington public, after Lovro Pogorelich Christmas concert.
