Rotation of Croatian troops in Afghanistan

Zagreb, March 2, 2004- Last Saturday, Croatian military
police of the second contingent taking part in NATO’s international peace
operation in Afghanistan (ISAF) returned to Zagreb after 6 months in Kabul.
Welcoming the 36 officers home were their families, Defense Minister Berislav
Roncevic, Armed Forces’ Chief-of-Staff General Josip Lucic, and head of
parliamentary home policy and the national security committee Ivan
Jarnjak.
Croatia is successfully fulfilling the first objective to partnership with NATO,
Defense Minister Berislav Roncevic said. Lucic and Jarnjak commended the second
platoon for a job well done, saying the mission was a success. The third
Croatian contingent of military police departed Zagreb for Kabul on Friday.
