AMBASSADOR GRDESIC AT A DIPLOMATIC BALL IN DENVER
Washington, DC, June 12, 2002 – Croatian Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Ivan Grdesic went on an official visit to Denver, Colorado. During his visit to Denver, organized by the Institute for International Education, Ambassador and Mrs. Grdesic attended the diplomatic ball. The ball and the events accompanying it were aimed at introducing the businessmen and representatives of the local community to the diplomats.
Ambassador Grdesic met with Allan Goodman, President of the IIE; Allan Huang, Dean of the Graduate School; Vincent Scalia, Dean of the School for Humanities; Marlene Strathe, Provost as well as with the Fulbright students studying at Colorado State University and University of Colorado.
The ambassador participated at the seminar titled The Way of Peace, Security and Prosperity intended for businessmen, students of international relations and citizens of Denver, where he spoke of Croatia in the global context. He also took part in the round table discussion on business and economy together with experts from the federal, state and city government as well as the private sector and diplomats.
The ambassador visited Denver upon the completion of the successful visit by the Croatian delegation, led by Prime Minister Ivica Racan, to Washington, DC.
