EXPORT-IMPORT BANK OF THE UNITED STATES CONFERENCE IN CAVTAT
The
U.S. Export-Import Bank held a one-day conference on doing business in Southeastern Europe in Cavtat on October 29. The
purpose of the conference was to provide U.S. exporters and investors with
information on U.S. government finance and investment programs. Croatia was
chosen as a place for the conference due to the U.S. businesses' view on
Croatia as particularly well situated to attract international trade and
investment. U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Rossin opened the conference, and
numerous speakers from U.S. government agencies, corporations and investment
funds participated in the conference. Member of the EXIM Board of Directors
Vanessa Weaver was hosting the conference on behalf of the EXIM and met with
the Croatian Minister of Finance Mato Crkvenac.
